Liberals and Conservatives - The Same but Different

You may think that liberals and conservatives are as opposite as night and day, but consider this. Conservatives and liberals both have a deep mistrust of the government, just about different things.

Conservatives don't trust the government with their money. They rant and rave the the government is taking their money and wasting it. When it comes to money, they claim the government can do nothing right. In thier view, not only is the government incompetent, but is in fact purposely out to fleece them coming and going.

Liberals believe in the government to do the right thing with funds. They help the struggling people in our society, they take care of the needy, and the more money the government has, the more good it can do. As soon as it comes to personal freedoms and individual rights however, all of a sudden the goverment can't be trusted. If you give them an inch, they'll take a mile. If you give them any room to deal with criminals or terrorists, they'll spy on us, etc. etc.

Conservatives on the other hand, who don't trust the government's compentence or motives when it comes to money, will nobly send their son's and daughters into wars half way around the world, never questioning government's motives or intents. It is almost as though they've swallowed neurol-inhibitors as they stoically stand by their governments slogans despite a tidal wave to facts and truths to the contrary.
